Samantha B.'s Inspiring Journey in Hair Care and Entrepreneurship

Samantha is a remarkable individual with a down-to-earth personality and a loving spirit that attracts people to her. She discovered her passion for hair care at a young age, starting at seven years old, when she played with her doll babies gifted by her mother and stepfather. She enjoyed braiding and styling their hair, making them look beautiful.

Her passion for hair care led her to work at an African Braiding Salon at the age of 11. She developed her braiding technique, and at 13, she started working as a braider at a South Philadelphia salon. She worked her way up to becoming a stylist assistant and then became a stylist, building her clientele.

While studying nursing at Pennsylvania State University, Samantha realized that her true passion was cosmetology. She attended Delaware Community College and graduated from Venus Beauty Academy with a cosmetology license. Later, she attended the Master Educator's class and graduated from Venus Beauty Academy with a Master Educator's license in Cosmetology.

Samantha started her own business - DaEssence of Perfection LLC in 2017. She is proud to provide all her clients with healthy hair care. She balances her growing business and being a mother of three wonderful children. She also teaches cosmetology at Building 21 High School, educating high schoolers ranging from 9th to 12th graders for seven consecutive years.

Samantha's clientele is diverse, ranging from five-year-olds to 91-year-olds. Her passion, hard work, and dedication make her a true inspiration in the world of hair care and entrepreneurship.
